Penny's Party

I chose to have Penny's bday gathering on a day other than her birth, because I wanted to enjoy her real day and not have to worry about crafts and beyond...boy was I smart in doing that.  It's safe to say every waking moment on party day was spent hot gluing, tying, stamping, or sewing and that's just what I had Glen doing.  Whatever!!!  Glen got it pretty darn easy for this one.  Listen, it's all about the details, and the truth of the matter is, I love doing it!  It was such a special time for me to be crafting things for OUR child at long last.

We had an open house at the lovely Dear Lizzie for both sides of the family.  Penny was quite pensive the whole time, and due to her allergy to milk the cake feasting was quite somber, but we got some great pictures!!

I think it's quite apparent how much this girl is the highlight of our lives.  I couldn't have dreamed a better life to be living!

December '11 aka Penny's birth month!

If you thought I posted a lot of pictures before, hold onto your feathered hats...it's about to get k-razy.  (bonus points to those who grasp where k-razy word usage comes from...I'm pretty...boring)  Ahh what the hay, for the three of you who are even reading this blog any more and know the answer I'll do a give away!!  Gross, did you really think I was that good of a blog-er?!??!  Ohhh so many inside jokes for you true blues to enjoy.

Anywho, I will truly have to break up December since I think blogspot has a 60 pic maximum limit.

Penny's bday was even better than I could have hoped.  We had prezzies in the morn, bike rides, lunch at the restaurant we would frequent after prenatal visits each month, delivered cupcakes to the hospital from whence she began her mortal journey, then more bike rides to end her day properly.

She instantly went for the horn, sooo my daughter.
Hey, I know I said I'm not a "flipper" any more, but that doesn't mean I'm not a honker.  As a matter o fact, I think that's where all my pent up rage gets released...I'm working through it.

Sheesh, do I ever clean that mirror?!

NO.
Because two seconds later it will look like this.

She wasn't really excited at all.

She knows mother likes to reuse pretty bows and such.

That would be a picture of my baby signing for more.  What, baby genius you say?!?
Yes, I know.

Head Nurse Extraordinaire!!!

Birth time!
Told you she loves her rubber ducky in her mouth.

Not as much as she likes her bike though.

This will conclude the post of Penny turning:
